Aspen employs cutting edge computer technology to ensure the most accurate drawing possible. In 2004, Aspen purchased Athena from CAD-PLAN Germany. Athena is the leading Auto-Cad compatible design tool for metal construction and façade engineering. Athena offers intelligent solutions to problems specific to façade engineering. Athena generates aluminum panel layout and sheet sizing, curtain wall and storefront material take-offs. Athena contains useful tools for statics and building physics. Athena can test thermal resistance on aluminum assemblies consisting of several layers. Athena gives Aspen the ability to check required moment of inertia and deflection. We can check center of gravity and moment and provide panel and solid thickness calculations. Athena also includes a light version of flixo, the leading technical software for thermal-hydro analysis and reporting. Athena also enables 3-D modeling to be incorporated into shop drawings in turn allowing for complex angles to be displayed with ease.

Athena by CAD-PLAN has a variety of tools for many industrial need exceeding construction. With Athena, complete part by part listings can be generated from CAD frame elevations, with some standard parts information and details being known. You can analize material shapes for structural strength, heat penetration and a wide variety of structural information.

Athena offers training in use of some of their softwares more detailed features, as well as full motion video examples. For more information on Athena, please see www.cad-plan.com.
